Architect always strive to create structures that are aesthetically functional and visually pleasing. But everyone
have their of perceptive to define beautiful, and perception is highly dependent on our frame of reference and
what we regard as familiar. Humans perceive architecture beautiful based on proportions and organization, and they are always relate to one another.

Famous people such as Andrea Palladio, Leon Battista Alberti, and Leonardo da Vinci focusing with the concept
of the ideal proportion in aesthetics. They adapted the theory that we are predisposed to find certain proportions more visually pleasing.
What is the role of proportion & organization in architecture today?
Proportion can be know as golden ratio, modulor , scale or classical orders, and also using symmetry,
vertically, relationship between parts or thing with respect to comparative size, or number and degree based on mathematical calculation. With these elements that proportioning the perfect expression of beauty and harmony. This technique were being used since the beginning of architect design until today.
Organization which will be able to continuously create value for present and future user, optimizing and
organizing itself. It is to plan out the types of organization of the spaces, the circulation and flow that suits the
human behavior, and to carry out the function to the spaces.
Le Corbusier said ‘’It is an important modern word. In architecture and city planning, circulation is everything.’’ and he gave an example if the dining room and living room are combined; nevertheless a sideboard
(in concrete) forms a spine to separate them. He explaining the organization of the plan that carries on methodical functions and the the human activity and the space connection, there is a sideboard to separate, that the
function for privacy and determine the difference of spaces.
In my opinion, proportion have a direct link to the organization in architectural because the architects design
for human habitation & functioning because it design based on human body anthropometric studies. It affect
the user to experience the organization, circulation and the volume, and function at the same time it have to
balance between the proportion of the interior and exterior.
Architectural style it has continued to be popular and to evolve, but it can be seen that symmetry and
proportions are clearly evident in the design of many modern buildings today. To look back Andrea Palladio
and Le Cobrusier, I think that we must continue to influence the future by looking back into the past. These two
great architects, both shared the conception idea of looking to historical models and comparing with their own ideas along with the contemporary technologies to contribute to the perception of the idea.
